Technical Sergeant Dillon Jefferies joined the United States Air Force Academy Band, Peterson Space Force, Colorado in 2023. He currently performs as tubist with the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Stellar Brass. In addition to his musical duties, Sergeant Jefferies serves as Library Technician in the unit’s Productions shop.
Sergeant Jefferies was born in Irvine, California and raised in Houston, Texas where he started his career in music at an early age. He received his Bachelor of Music in Tuba performance from Baylor University in 2019 and Master of Music in Tuba Performance from the Mannes School of Music at The New School in 2021, studying under the guidance of Alan Baer of the New York Philharmonic. He also pursued an Artist Diploma at Rutgers University where he furthered his studies with Alan Baer prior to his enlistment in the United States Air Force. Sergeant Jefferies currently resides in Colorado Springs with his Fiancé where he enjoys an active and fulfilling lifestyle with his friends and colleagues.
