Airman 1st Class (A1C) Steven Brown is a percussionist with the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. A1C Brown holds a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from The University of Akron as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Point Loma Nazarene University. While pursuing his Master’s Degree, A1C Brown was working as a Graduate Assistant where he instructed and composed music for the University Akron Drumline, directed percussion ensembles, and served as a volunteer representative for the Children’s Concert Society of Akron.
A native to San Diego, California, A1C Brown has performed at Disneyland California, SeaWorld San Diego, Aquatica Chula Vista, the San Diego Zoo, and Shadow Mountain Community Church. Prior to enlisting in 2023, A1C Brown was a Band Director at Christian Unified Schools where he taught Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, Ukulele Ensemble, Elementary Band, and Pep Band.
