Airman 1st Class Daniel St. John

Airman First Class Daniel St. John is a bassoonist from San Diego, California. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Bassoon Performance in 2021 from the CSULB Bob Cole Conservatory of Music and then his Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance in 2023 from the USC Thornton School of Music. While he was in California, Daniel studied with Los Angeles Philharmonic second bassoonist Michele Grego and Associate Principal bassoonist Shawn Mouser. He also spent his time as a bassoon coach for local schools and played in numerous recording gigs, festivals, and orchestras including the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra, and the American Youth Symphony as a contrabassoonist. As a member of the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, he performs in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Midwest Winds.
