Senior Airman Aaron Taylor

SrA Taylor is a percussionist at the United States Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Band, Illinois. He performs in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Starlifter. He additionally works as a productions technician and an approving official in the band’s resource shop.

SrA Taylor hails from the greater Philadelphia, PA region. He graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2015. He performed on several contracts with entertainment companies, professional ensembles, DCI groups, cruise ship and musical theater orchestras before his military career began.

In 2019, he enlisted to join the U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division Band, where he performed critical roles in the unit’s country, rock, salsa, jazz, concert, and ceremonial ensembles serving as a music director in each small music performance team he was assigned to. SrA Taylor also filled an indispensable role as a public affairs clerk, having created, developed, and produced a recurring “servicemember spotlight” video series that reached an online audience of over 25,000 people during COVID-19 lockdown operations, in addition to filming and producing several other digital engagements that generated a significant increase in online followers and activity for the band’s public social media presence. In 2023, SrA Taylor joined the United States Air Force, where he continues to assist in video productions when he’s not playing his instrument.
