Airman 1st Class Nicholas Mihalich

Airman First Class Nick Mihalich serves as a Trombonist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, where he performs in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Airlifter Brass.

Originally from Brecksville, Ohio, A1C Mihalich earned a Bachelor of Music degree from DePaul University and a Master of Music Degree from Northwestern University.
Concurrently, A1C Mihalich was a private lesson instructor and winner of numerous chamber music competitions; most notably, the International Trombone Association
Trombone Quartet Competition in 2022 and the American Trombone Workshop Quartet Competition in 2023. Prior to joining the Air Force, A1C Mihalich regularly performed with various ensembles throughout the Chicago area, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. His primary teachers include Michael Mulcahy, Mark Fisher, Charlie Vernon, Douglas Wright, Randall Hawes, Christopher Davis, and Joseph Rodriguez.
