A1C Nick Mihalich serves as a trombonist in the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, IL. He performs with the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, Airlifter Brass, and Shades of Blue Jazz Ensemble. Concurrently, he serves as a member of the unit’s library staff, aiding in the dissemination, organization, and retention of the unit’s library. Additionally, he is the unit’s designated Voting Assistance Officer.
A native of Brecksville, Ohio, A1C Mihalich earned a Bachelor of Music degree from DePaul University and a Master of Music Degree from Northwestern University. He began his military career in July 2023, and upon completion of Basic Military Training, was assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America in September 2023.
