Technical Sgt. Amanda Palmeiro is an alto vocalist with the Singing Sergeants. Originally from Memphis, TN, her career in the Air Force began in July 2023.
Prior to joining the Air Force, Sgt. Palmeiro performed with Washington National Opera, Opera Delaware, Washington Concert Opera, Shreveport Opera, Baltimore Concert Opera and IN Series DC. She has also appeared as a concert soloist with Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Cathedral Choral Society, the Avanti Orchestra, Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra, and Mercersburg Chorus.
Sgt. Palmeiro was the First-Place winner of the Washington International Competition for Voice and received Third Place in Opera Birmingham’s 41st Annual Vocal Competition. She also received an Encouragement Award in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Finals of the Metropolitan National Council Auditions and Third Prize in the Washington DC Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters Voice Competition.
Sgt. Palmeiro received her Master of Music in Opera Performance at the University of Maryland, and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Tennessee.
