Technical Sergeant Aaron Lovelady

Technical Sgt. Aaron Lovelady is a Trumpet Play with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Florence, Alabama, his career in the Air Force began in 2021.

Before joining the Air Force, Sgt. Lovelady served as a freelance trumpet player, performing with Jacksonville, Phoenix, Richmond, Tucson, and Virginia Symphony Orchestras, AZ Philharmonic, Arizona Opera, and more. Sgt. Lovelady was a member of several chamber music ensembles including the Arizona Contemporary Music Ensemble, The Gainesville Brass Quintet, the Phoenix Chamber Players, and more. In 2017, Lovelady toured Europe and recorded an album as a member of the American Chamber Winds. He is an alumnus of the Hot Springs Music Festival (2017, 2018).

A graduate of the University of North Alabama, Lovelady received a Bachelor of Science in horn performance in 2014. He then earned his Master of Music in trumpet performance from the University of Florida in 2016. He is currently a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University. His primary teachers are Jeremy Thigpen, Dr. Edd Jones, Jack Peck, Roger Blackburn, Dr. Randolph Lee, and David Hickman.
