The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.

Technical Sergeant Clara Campbell

Technical Sergeant Clara Campbell is the vocalist with the Airmen of Note. Originally from Bountiful, Utah, she joined the United States Air Force Band in 2023.

Before joining the Air Force, Sgt. Campbell was an active performer in the Salt Lake City area as a vocalist and pianist. Since joining the band, she has been highlighted in the Jazz Heritage Series performances with featured guest artists, Gordon Goodwin, Rodney Whitaker, and Jon Faddis. 

Sgt. Campbell studied at the Horne School of Music at Snow College where she earned her Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Commercial Music. There she was inspired and mentored by Jennifer Madsen, Philip Kuehn, Carl Allen and Chase Baird.
