Senior Airman Fernando Yanez is an oboist with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. Originally from Los Angeles, California, his Air Force career began in 2022.
SrA Fernando Yanez is a 2015 graduate of The University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both oboe performance and mathematics. In 2022, he received a professional studies diploma in oboe performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music, Cleveland, OH. His teachers include Jeffrey Rathbun, James Ryon, and Dr. Charles Veazey.
