The most recent appropriations for the Department of War expired at 11:59 p.m. EST on September 30, 2025. Airman 1st Class Oleksandr Kashlyuk

Airman 1st Class Oleksandr Kashlyuk is a native of Ternopil, Ukraine. He received his bachelor’s degree in Bassoon Performance from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2022, studying with Stephen Paulson, principal bassoon of the San Francisco Symphony. In December of 2022, Airman Kashlyuk joined the Air Force and was assigned to the Band of the West, Lackland AFB, TX. Prior to his current assignment at the Band of the West, Airman Kashlyuk performed with the California Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, and was a fellow in the Taipei Music Academy & Festival. He currently serves as an associate musician for the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
