Airman 1st Class Jacob Conway

Airman First Class Jacob Conway serves as a saxophonist with the USAF Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base, IL. He performs with Roots in Blue pop/rock band, Ceremonial Band and Concert Band.

Joining the Air Force in 2022, Airman Conway was assigned to the USAF Band of Mid-America. Originally from Mead, Colorado, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Saxophone Performance with an Emphasis in Jazz. Airman Conway’s teachers include Tom Myer, John Gunther, and Jim Pisano. Prior to joining the Air Force, Airman Conway enjoyed a robust freelance career specializing in pit work for shows and musicals. He has performed with renowned artists including Carmen Bradford, Matt Wilson, Jeff Coffin, and Maria Schneider. Airman Conway also had the distinct pleasure of playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland.
