Airman First Class (A1C) Eliza Edge is a French horn player with the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band. She is originally from Conway, South Carolina, and performs in the Concert Band and Heritage Brass.
Prior to joining the Air Force, A1C Edge enjoyed a varied career of freelancing, teaching, and playing 4th horn in the Long Bay Symphony. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she primarily studied with Elizabeth Freimuth, Randy Gardner, and Denise Tryon. She also did a semester of studies at Griffith University Conservatorium in Brisbane, Australia with Peter Luff. Additionally, A1C Edge has participated in programs such as the Kendall Betts Horn Camp as a scholarship fellow and the Chatauqua Institute of Music.
When not playing the horn and making beautiful music with the Heritage of America Band, A1C Edge enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, kayaking, and playing board games.
