Senior Airman Mario Foreman-Powell

A Native of Colorado Springs, Mario earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition and Performance from Hastings College, in Hastings, NE. In his tenure at Hastings College, he was heavily involved in the community and earned awards such as: being named Mr. Bronco, Who’s Who, and awarded the Duane E. Johnson outstanding contributor award. Finally, as his college career came to a close he became an Intern at Evergroove Studios in Evergreen, Colorado.

After college Mario served as a director of music from 2013-2018 at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, CO where he was over 7 ensembles. Out of the 7 ensembles two of them became recording ensembles performing with Dream Records and Reaching Records. He embraced the community of  in Colorado while his choirs were selected to be a part of multiple government events. Mario was the winner of several competitions such as Omega showboat, Colorado Springs National Anthem contest winner and many more.

Mario continued his success winning the United Stated Air Force Regional Band vocalist position. His first duty stationed was at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, NE. He has been personally selected to perform at numerous events, personal highlight was his performance at the NCAA Baseball championship games and being personally selected to perform at the 2021 NCAA Volleyball Tournaments. Mario brought more of his musical and producing talents the Air Force as he served as musical director for the Rock Band in 2019 and produced the 2021 Holiday Show “Sounds of The Season.” His hard work has allowed him to be a part of a selected few to be a recipient of the Colonel Finely R. Hamilton Military Outstanding Musician Award. Mario once again embraced community. He was the winner of the Omaha Performing Arts 2019 Singer-Songwriter Competition18+ division, also appeared on the line up for the OMAHA music Festival where he was able to feature his original music.

He enjoys performing, writing and arranging music in addition to theater. He proudly serves his country as a Vocalist in the United States Air Force with his Second duty station with the Band of Pacific at Joint Base Pearl Harbor- Hickam in Honolulu, HI.
