Airman 1st Class Max Lin

Airman First Class Max Lin is a flutist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, where he performs in the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band and Midwest Winds. A1C Lin holds a Master of Music degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Music from the Eastman School of Music (BM Flute Performance). Max’s teachers and inspirers are Lorna McGhee, Bonita Boyd, Anne Harrow and Judith Ormond. As a performer, A1C Lin has participated in the Blossom Music Festival, Orford Music Academy and the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. A1C Lin has placed in the Flute Society of Kentucky’s Collegiate Artist Competition, the Eastern Connecticut Concerto Competition and the Couer D’Alene Young Artist Competition. A1C Lin has made appearances with the Cleveland Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, US Army Field Band and the Eastman Wind Ensemble.
