A1C Colin Gordon is a saxophonist with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. He also serves as a marketing representative in the unit’s publicity department. Originally from Corning, NY, his Air Force career began in 2022.
Before joining the United States Air Force, A1C Gordon completed his B.Mus. from SUNY Purchase in 2010 and his M.M. and D.M.A. from the Eastman School of Music in 2012 and 2018, respectively. He has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and at venues in New York City including Smalls, Smoke, Freddy’s, Symphony Space, and ShapeShifter Lab. Also an avid music educator, A1C Gordon has taught at Ithaca College, Cornell University, Eastman Community Music School, and continues to teach remotely at Roberts Wesleyan College.
