Staff Sergeant Bruno Gutierrez serves as tuba player and operations representative for the United States Air Force Band of the West, Lackland Air Force Base, TX.
A native of Laredo, Texas, SSgt Gutierrez is a graduate of West Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He then attended Indiana University Jacobs School of Music for his master’s degree in Tuba Performance and a Performance Diploma in Jazz Bass. Throughout his schooling, SSgt Gutierrez taught private lessons, master classes, and freelanced on both tuba and bass throughout Texas and the Midwest.
