TSgt Joseph A Glassman is Percussionist at USAF Academy Band, Peterson SFB, Colorado. Responsibilities of their current duty position are Drum set with Pegasus, Vibraphone/Percussion with the Falconaires, and Percussion the Marching Band and the Concert Band. He also serves as a Cyber Security Liaison and IT Equipment Custodian.
TSgt Glassman grew up in Littleton, CO. He entered the Air Force in October 2021 through Basic Military Training at JBSA-Lackland Texas. He has been active duty for 3 years. His studies in music began at a young age, born into an already musical family. In 2014, he earned a Bachelor of Music in Classical Percussion Performance from The University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music under scholarship. He studied under John Kinzie, Principal Percussion with the Colorado Symphony. In 2019, he completed his graduate studies in Jazz Vibraphone Performance at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign under Tuition Waiver and Teaching Assistantship. He studied under Chip Stephens, Professor of Jazz Piano. Prior to his current position, the TSgt was a trainee at JBSA-Lackland Texas.
