Senior Airman Benjamin Roberts is assigned to the US Air Force Band of the Pacific at Yokota Air Base, Japan, where he serves as the unit's Staff Composer and Arranger. Airman Roberts was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where he grew up performing as an actor and a singer in plays and musicals. He completed his Bachelors of Music at Northwestern University, studying Music Education and Arts Administration, with a joint-focus in vocal and instrumental education. At Northwestern, Roberts orchestrated and conducted over a dozen musicals, including the famed Waa-Mu Show.
Airman Roberts has composed, orchestrated, and prepared music for theaters nationwide, with extensive experience in Theater for Young Audiences. For nine consecutive seasons, he worked as a performer, orchestrator, and associate producer for Summer Stock Austin, a non-profit educational repertory theatre company in Texas.
