Senior Airman Henry Gergen

Senior Airman Henry Gergen is a trumpet player with the United States Air Force Band of the Pacific-Asia, Yokota Air Base, Japan. In addition to his musical duties, he serves as the Commander’s Support Staff Clerk, Finance Approving Official, Cyber Representative, Passport Manager, and Voting Liaison.

Airman Gergen enlisted in October 2021. Prior to joining the Air Force, he earned a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from Lawrence University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. His principal instructors included John Daniel, Paul Stephens, Tanya Darby, and Mike Steinel.

He performed with several regional bands in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and was a showband musician on eight Royal Caribbean cruise ships. Highlights of his Air Force career include performing with the Band of the Golden West on The Price is Right, playing in a brass quintet for Buzz Aldrin’s honorary promotion to Brigadier General, and touring with Final Approach at AERO India 2025.
