Senior Airman Mitchell Powers grew up in Thomson, Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance with an emphasis on the Classical Guitar and a Music Business Certificate from the University of Georgia in 2018. He then worked as a private teacher and a freelance musician for various bands, musical theatre productions, and ensembles in the Athens-Atlanta area. In September of 2021, Airman Powers joined the Air Force and was assigned to the USAF Band of the West. In his free time, SrA Powers enjoys playing disc golf and video games, as well as spending time with his wife, Kaitlyn.
