Technical Sergeant Jacob Kight is a percussionist with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Lakeland, Florida, his Air Force career began in 2021.
Kight received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Central Florida in 2015 and was awarded a Master of Music degree in 2017 and Doctor of Music degree in 2020 from the Florida State University. His teachers include Jeff Moore, Kirk Gay, Dr. Thad Anderson, and Dr. John W. Parks IV.
Before joining the Air Force, Kight served as the director of percussion studies at the University of South Florida and principal percussionist for the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra.
