Technical Sergeant Alexander Browne

Technical Sgt. Alexander Browne is a double bassist and bass guitarist with the Singing Sergeants, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Sugar Land, Texas, his career in the Air Force began in 2021.

Browne holds a Bachelor's Degree in jazz studies - bass performance from The University of North Texas, and a Master of Music degree in bass performance – jazz emphasis from The University of Texas at Austin. He has studied double bass privately with Lynn Seaton, John Fremgen, and Andy Moritz. While pursuing his degrees, he also performed with the UNT 2 o’clock and 3 o’clock Lab Bands, UNT Latin Jazz ensemble, UT Jazz Orchestra, UT Alternative Improvised Music Ensemble, and UT New Music Ensemble. Upon completing his degree, Browne maintained a busy freelance performance career in the Central Texas region as well as a busy teaching schedule, working as an adjunct professor at Austin Community College.
