A1C Grace Gilpatrick is a trumpet player with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. She also serves as the Travis Brass Operations Representative. Originally from State College, PA, her Air Force career began in 2021.
A1C Gilpatrick is a 2021 graduate of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor where she earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Trumpet Performance. Her teachers include Bob Sullivan, Tom Booth, Hunter Eberly, and Bill Campbell. Prior to joining the Air Force, A1C Gilpatrick was an active freelancer/teacher in the Detroit area, playing with various regional orchestras including the Ann Arbor Symphony, the Centre Philharmonic, the Williamsport Symphony, and the Nittany Valley Symphony.
During her Air Force career she has played with the Concert Band, Travis Brass, Golden West Brass, and The Commanders Jazz Ensemble.
