Airman First Class Garrett Brown served as a bassoonist for the Band of Mid-America until July, 2023 when we joined the Army's West Point Academy Band.
Joining the Air Force in 2021, Airman Brown was assigned to the USAF Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, IL. He is originally from Reading, PA. Prior to joining the Air Force, Airman Brown pursued his bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Shenandoah Conservatory and his master’s degree in Bassoon Performance at Stony Brook University. Currently Airman Brown is pursuing his doctorate in Bassoon Performance at Stony Brook University. His teachers include Frank Morelli, Ryan Romine and Valerie Trollinger.
