Senior Airman (SrA) Sebastian Bell hails from Dormagen, Germany, and is a trombonist and bass trombonist for the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band. Prior to joining the Air Force in 2021, SrA Bell worked professionally for 6 years as a low brass performer and educator in Northeast Ohio.
SrA Bell has held positions with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra. As a substitute and extra musician, he has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
As flexibility is the key to air power, SrA Bell has delivered strategic communication in 15 states through performing with a wide variety of different ensembles during his service in the United States Air Force, from ceremonial band and concert band to brass chamber music formations and jazz ensemble. One of his favorite memories in the Air Force so far was performing at the VA Hospital in The Bronx, NY in 2023.
