Senior Airman (SrA) Andrew Compton is a clarinetist with the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band, Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. Originally from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, his Air Force career began in 2020.
SrA Compton is a 2017 graduate of Ohio Christian University in Circleville, Ohio, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. In 2020, he received a Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. His teachers were Bob Springer (AF), Bill Isenhart (Army), Dr. Adrienne Lape, and Ixi Chen.
Before enlisting in the United States Air Force, A1C Compton performed with various ensembles throughout Ohio including the Heisey Wind Ensemble, Queen City Chamber Orchestra, CCM Philharmonia, as well as a soloist for the Capital Winds and Queen City Chamber Orchestra.
