Technical Sergeant Laura Kluga

 

TSgt Laura Kluga is the Director of Operations and Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Concert Band with the USAF Band of the West at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland AFB, Texas. As Director of Operations, she leads a 15-member section and directs 250 annual missions for 8 teams across a 7-state/2-territory area of responsibility. As NCOIC, she leads a 45-member team at Department of War’s largest joint base, overseeing strategy and logistics to target AETC and AFRS recruiting priorities across seven states and two U.S. territories.

TSgt Kluga is a native of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. After graduating from Chelmsford High School, she studied with Evan Champion and James Madeja at the Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam, where she received a bachelor’s degree in music education and a Performance Certificate in Trumpet Performance. Laura attended graduate school at Florida State University where she studied with Bryan Goff and earned her master’s degree in Trumpet Performance.

TSgt Kluga entered the Air Force in September 2005 upon earning a position with the Band of the Liberty, Hanscom AFB, MA. Prior to her current assignment at the Band of the West, she served with the USAFE Band from 2009-2012, the Band of the West from 2012-2015, the SHAPE International Band from 2015-2019, the Band of Mid-America from 2020-2021 and the USAFE Band from 2021-2025.
