SSgt James E. Nufer is a Regional Band Craftsman assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He performs his musical duties as a trumpeter with the unit's brass ensemble, "Spirit of Freedom," and manages civic outreach operations. Additionally, he serves as an approving official in the unit’s travel and supply shops.
Airman Nufer entered the Air Force in January 2020 following a career as a freelance musician. Upon completion of Basic Military Training in March 2020, he was assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Flight.
