Senior Airman James E. Nufer is assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He performs his musical duties as a trumpeter with the unit’s brass ensemble, “Spirit of Freedom.” Also, he serves as organization defense travel administrator, vehicle control officer liaison, and works in the band publicity and publications shop.
Airman Nufer entered the Air Force in January 2020 following a career as a freelance musician. Upon completion of Basic Military Training in March 2020, he was assigned to the United States Air Force Band of Flight.
