Staff Sgt. Claire Workinger performs on the oboe with the Concert Band and Midwest Winds with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Her Air Force career began in 2019.
Sgt. Workinger attended the University of North Texas where she graduated with a Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance with an emphasis on Historical Performance and Music History. She continued her education at UNT and has nearly completed her Doctorate of Musical Arts. As a music educator, she has taught oboe and Baroque oboe, bassoon, oboe reed making, oboe repair, and master classes from beginner through university levels. Her former teachers include Charles Veazey, Ray Still, Joseph DeLuccio, Gonzalo Ruiz, and Joseph Robinson.
