TSgt Shawn Hanlon is currently a pianist at the United States Air Force Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Responsibilities include performing on piano with Flight One popular music group, the combined Air Force Band of Flight ensemble, and serving as NCOIC of Supply.
TSgt Hanlon entered the Air Force in February 2012, graduating Basic Military Training in April 2012. Prior to his current position, TSgt Hanlon was assigned to Yokota Air Force Base, Japan, where he performed around the Pacific theater with the Pacific Showcase jazz ensemble, and the Pacific Trends and Final Approach popular music groups.
Some highlights of TSgt Hanlon’s career so far include performing on a local radio station in Afghanistan, entertaining North Korean refugees, and playing live on Japanese television for “Nodojiman The World”.
