Hailing from Orange County, CA, Senior Airman Guy James serves as one of two guitarists in the USAF Band of the Pacific - Hawaii. He has played in variety of groups covering styles of music from rock, jazz, solo guitar and more.
Airman James joined the Air Force in 2015 during his time in college while pursuing a music degree after he saw an online flyer for Air Force Band auditions. He postponed the completion of his college degree to pursue a full time career in the Air Force band, auditioning at Langley Air Force Base, VA, where he was offered the job after completing the competitive audition process. He has since completed his Bachelor’s degree in professional guitar studies through Berklee online school of music and is now continuing his education in Berklee Onlines Master’s degree program in Music Business.
