Technical Sergeant Bryan Andrews, a native of Newark, OH, is stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinoisi where he performs as a bassist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America. During his time with the USAF Band of the Pacific Sergeant Andrews has performed with Hana Hou and Small Kine, the popular music ensembles, and Papana, the Jazz ensemble.
Sergeant Andrews graduated from Newark High School, Newark, Ohio in 2004. He then took some time away from formal schooling to explore the life of the freelance musician. For the following three years Sergeant Andrews traveled around the Mid-West performing at popular sites for historical reenactments with various local folk artists. In 2007 Sergeant Andrews decided to continue his formal schooling and enrolled in the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in 2011 and his Master of Music in 2013.
While completing his Bachelors and Masters Degrees, Sergeant Andrews sought out performance opportunities with local orchestras such as: The Lebanon Symphony Orchestra, The Dayton Philharmonic, The Queen City Opera, The Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, and many others. He also dedicated time to teaching young, aspiring musicians. From private guitar lessons to group piano classes, Sergeant Andrews helped younger generations of musicians hone their craft and find new sources of inspiration.
In 2013 Sergeant Andrews auditioned for the U.S. Air Force Bands & Music Program and was assigned to the Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, IL. In 2016 he moved to the beautiful island of Oahu to work with the Band of the Pacific.
