As a freelance musician, Dormeus worked with numerous artists, including Grammy Award-winning artist Donnie McClurkin, and was the primary pianist for the Trinity Broadcasting Network. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the New School University in New York.
In 2023, he deployed as the primary French Interpreter and Cultural Liaison for the 768th Expeditionary Air Base Squadron, Niger.
