Tech Sergeant Andrew Reich

Technical Sergeant Andrew Reich serves as trombonist with the Ceremonial Brass, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Lexington, South Carolina, he joined the Air Force in 2017 to become a member of the U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Band at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.

Reich earned a Bachelor of Music degree in trombone performance from the University of South Carolina in 2005 and a Master of Music in trombone performance from the University of Georgia in 2007. While at the University of Georgia, Reich held the prestigious Bulldog Brass Quintet assistantship and had the honor of being on faculty at the renowned Brazil Instrumental Festival in Tatuí. His primary teachers include Brad Edwards, Philip Jameson, Fred Mills, John Rojak, and Greg Cox.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Reich toured with Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass from 2009 to 2016, performing 120 concerts a year across the United States and abroad including Europe and South Korea. Additionally, he maintained a teaching and performance schedule which included performances with symphony orchestras in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, and solo appearances in Japan, Italy and Bulgaria.

Highlights of his Air Force career include multiple appearances on the Fox News Channel’s “Fox and Friends” morning show, marching in the 2017 New York City Veterans Day Parade, and performing with the U.S Air Force Heritage of America Band’s pop and hip-hop band “Full Spectrum” at a halftime show for a Baltimore Ravens game.
