Technical Sgt. Alexis Cote is a french hornist with The United States Air Force Band Concert Band at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. Originally from Madison, Alabama, her career in the Air Force began in 2018 with the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band where she performed with the Concert Band and Heritage Brass. She became a member of The United States Air Force Band in 2020.
Before joining the Air Force, Sgt. Cote served as third horn in the Ocala Symphony and performed regularly with the Prescott Pops, Gainesville Orchestra, Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, and Gainesville Brass Quintet. In 2017, Cote toured Europe as a member of the American Chamber Winds. She is an alumna of the Kendall Betts Horn Camp and served as a camp staff member in 2018.
A graduate of the University of North Alabama, Cote received a Bachelor of Science in horn performance in 2014. She then earned her Master of Music in horn performance from the University of Florida in 2016. She went on to become candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Arizona State University in 2018. Her primary teachers are Mr. Mark Gessner, Dr. David McCullough, Dr. Paul Basler and Dr. John Ericson.
