Technical Sergeant Michael Coletti

Technical Sergeant Michael Coletti joined the United States Air Force Academy Band, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado in 2016. He has performed as a percussionist with Marching Band, Concert Band, Stellar Brass, and is currently the drummer in Wild Blue Country.

TSgt Coletti is a native of Fairfield, Connecticut. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Michigan and a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance at Indiana University. Throughout his education he studied with Michael Udow, Joseph Gramley, Michael Spiro, John Tafoya, and Steve Houghton. During his tenure at IU, TSgt Coletti served as an Associate Instructor where he maintained a sizeable private studio and directed numerous ensembles. In addition to teaching at IU, TSgt Coletti taught at Indiana State University, Bloomington High School South, Owen Valley High school, and was a member of the percussion faculty at New England Music Camp.Outside of education, TSgt Coletti has worked with and shared the stage with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Wayne Wallace, Jonathan Haas, Gordon Stout, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. TSgt Coletti is also published alongside Michael Spiro as the co-author of the book “The Language of the Masters,” which is a Latin percussion book, geared towards college students.
