Staff Sergeant Andrea Murano

Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Andrea Murano is a flute player in the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band. She has been stationed at Langley Air Force Base since the beginning of her career in July 2018.  Since joining the USAF Heritage of America Band, SSgt Murano has been a part of the Heritage Winds and Concert Band. She has performed as a concerto soloist with the Concert Band as part of a six concert tour of North and South Carolina and has been the music director of Heritage Winds since 2019.
 
Prior to joining the Air Force, SSgt Murano earned a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from George Mason University and a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her primary teachers include Brook Ferguson, Christina Jennings, Jennifer Lapple, Judith Lapple, Julianna Nickel, and Susan Thomas. She has performed with the Virginia Symphony, Hawaii Symphony, Royal Hawaiian Band, Colorado Symphony, Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and Pueblo Symphony.
