Master Sergeant Jesse Thompson is at guitarist with the USAF Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base, IL. He was previously stationed at Peterson SFB, CO with the USAF Academy Band. From 2008-2010, he was stationed with the Air Force Band of the West at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX, where he performed with the concert band, big band, and rock ensemble. Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam was his second assignment. While in Hawaii, he performed with the rock band, acoustic pop group, jazz combo, and was the non-commissioned officer in charge of the jazz trio.
Before joining the Air Force in 2008, MSgt Thompson attended the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and performed with big bands, combos, and guitar ensembles. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2006.
