Senior Airman Aliyah Richling performs as a vocalist with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. In addition to her musical duties, she serves as the Operations Director for the popular music group, Raptor, and also in the unit’s Publicity section.
Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Airman Richling earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and was a member of the Luther College Nordic Choir. She also holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas.
Prior to joining the Air Force, Airman Richling served as an Instructor of Voice and Choral Studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, directing several choral and vocal jazz ensembles and teaching applied voice lessons. She was also an Adjunct Instructor of Voice at her alma mater, Luther College. Most recently, Airman Richling lived in Bekescsaba, Hungary as a volunteer with Young Adults in Global Mission, an organization through the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. During her time in Hungary, she was a soprano with Calandrella, assisted the high school choir, and performed with a local rock band.
