Technical Sergeant John Cavanaugh John Cavanaugh has served as a member of the Air National Guard Band of the Midwest since 2012. Before joining the Band of the Midwest, he served 18 years with the Air National Guard Band of the Central States in St. Louis, MO. He has deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, Chile and Afghanistan. He performs on saxophone in the concert band and the Sax Quartet. TSgt Cavanaugh holds a BME in Music Education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL. He currently lives in Alton, IL and works in Edwardsville as a campus police officer. Hometown: St. Louis, MO
