Technical Sergeant Sandra O'Connor Technical Sergeant Sandra L. O'Connor is a French Horn player and Public Affairs Manager for the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast. Originally from Strasburg, VA, Sergeant O'Connor enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1984 and spent several years as an active duty musician with the United States Air Force Band in Europe. Sergeant O'Connor graduated from Strasburg High School in Strasburg, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma. Sergeant O'Connor currently resides in Lexington, MA where she works as an Autism Support Assistant at the Hastings School in Lexington, MA. In her spare time, she enjoys training for triathalons, cooking, and reading. Sergeant O'Connor's awards and decorations include the Air Force Commendation medal with two Oak Leaf clusters, Air Force Achievement medal with one oak leaf cluster, and several unit based awards from her Air Force career which offered her the opportunity to serve in several different Air Force Bands across the globe.
