Master Sergeant Jeremy Martin

Master Sgt. Jeremy S. Martin is the Staff Composer/Arranger and Section Chief of Publicity for the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He creates original musical compositions and arrangements for the band’s nine music performing ensembles while leading the unit’s Marketing, Social Media, Video Production, and Virtual Engagement teams.

Master Sgt. Martin joined the Air Force in August, 2000, and was assigned to the USAF Band of the Golden West at Travis Air Force Base, California. He transferred into the Air National Guard in 2005 and was assigned to the ANG Band of the South at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia, before returning to the Band of the Golden West as an active duty member in 2008. In 2011 Master Sgt. Martin was assigned to the Air Force Public Affairs Agency (AFPAA) at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, where he composed and arranged music for all Air Force Bands around the globe. In 2016 he was assigned to the USAF Band of Mid-America at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.

Prior to joining the Air Force, Master Sgt. Martin taught middle school and high school bands for five years in Tennessee. He has written extensively for bands nationwide and has been a guest conductor and clinician for high school, college, and military bands throughout the United States. MSgt Martin's musical compositions and arrangements have been published by LudwigMasters Publications, Southern Music Company, Band Works Publications, and Carl Fisher, and he is the only person in the world to admit that he has played "principal contrabass clarinet."
