Senior Master Sergeant John Dawson

Senior Master Sergeant John B. Dawson, saxophone, is a native of Springfield, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance from Arizona State University, where he studied with Mike Crotty.  In 2006, Sergeant Dawson joined the US Air Force and was assigned to the Air Force Academy Band where he served as Marching Band Drum Major, and Falconaires Musical Director.  He was reassigned to the US Air Forces in Europe Band, Ramstein AB, Germany in 2015, where he served as the NCOIC of the Jazz Ambassadors as well as Marching Band Drum Major.  He returned to the Air Force Academy Band in 2020.
