Technical Sergeant (TSgt) Travis S. Hyde performs on euphonium and trombone for the United States Air Force (USAF) Heritage of America Band, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. He performs his musical duties with the concert and marching bands, the Heritage Brass ensemble, and the Rhythm in Blue jazz ensemble. Additionally, he serves as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the unit’s Productions shop.
TSgt Hyde entered the Air Force in October 2010, originally assigned to Travis Air Force Base, California. In 2014, he was reassigned to Ramstein Air Base, Germany, where he had the opportunity to act as a representative of the United States Air Force on multiple troop morale and partnership building tours, as well as performing for multiple US and foreign ambassadors and various heads of state across 28 countries in Europe and Africa. In 2022, he was reassigned to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, where he currently serves.
TSgt Hyde’s career highlights include multiple featured solo performances in the United States as well as internationally in Slovakia and Bulgaria. Some of the most impactful missions he’s been a part of include multiple collaborations with Ukraine’s National Presidential Orchestra and the Polish Air Force Band, demonstrating military band’s unique capability to harness the power of music to connect and build trust with the international community.
