Technical Sergeant Randolph Palada is a Clarinetist with the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Travis AFB, CA. Originally from Sacramento, California, his Air Force career began in 2014 with the Air Force Band of the West in San Antonio, Texas.
TSgt Palada is a 2010 graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, San Francisco, CA where he earned a Degree in Music Performance. In 2012, he received a Masters Degree in Music Performance with honors from the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, MA. His teachers include Michael Wayne (Boston Symphony), Luis Baez, Ben Freimuth (San Francisco Symphony), and Stefan Zimmer (Deutsche Radio Philharmonie). TSgt Palada was a finalist in the International Clarinet Association Artist Competition, placed 3rd in the Svirel International Music Competition (Slovenia), and was runner up in both the New England and San Francisco Conservatory Concerto Competitions. TSgt Palada was Principal Clarinet of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra (MA), has held positions with both the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the Discovery Chamber Ensemble, was a substitute musician with the San Antonio Symphony, and performed in the Saar Wind Projekt ensemble in Saarbrucken, Germany.
