Staff Sergeant Michael Kane

Staff Sergeant Michael Kane is member of the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast. Originally from Youngstown, OH, his Air Force career began on August 5, 2000. He has been with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard since September 2012.

Sergeant Kane graduated from Boardman High School in Boardman, OH. His civilian roles have been in leadership, management and sales. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in counseling psychology and currently in graduate school completing his Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology.  Sergeant Kane plays French Horn and was a featured guest soloist with the Ashtabula Symphony Orchestra in 2000.   Sergeant Kane began his Air Force career with the 555th Air Force Band, spending 12 years with them from August 2000 to September 2012. 

Sergeant Kane is an avid fitness buff, has completed many Spartan Obstacle Course Races, an Ironman triathlon, and trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Sergeant Kane's awards and decorations include the Air Force Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal; and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Community College of the Air Force degree.
