Senior Airman Brian Plank Senior Airman Brian Plank, Wisconsin is a bassist for the USAF Band of the Pacific-Hawaii at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. He performs with the popular music ensembles Hana Hou and Small Kine. Airman Plank grew up in Sun Prairie, WI, where he graduated from high school in 2003. He then attended the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire as a Music Performance Major. His teachers included Dr. Jerry Young and Robert Baca. Before joining the Air Force, he worked as a freelance bassist including performing with the show band at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA. Air Force career highlights include performing with world class musicians such as Tom Koster and Jeff Lorber and performing in 12 countries. He has also performed for First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama as well as the Secretary of the Air Force Michael B. Donely. In addition to his duties with the Air Force, Airman Plank has performed as a bassist throughout the St. Louis and Waikiki areas. ASSIGNMENTS: 1.
