Technical Sergeant Ainsley DeWitt

TSgt Ainsley DeWitt serves as a vocalist for the Band of Flight.

TSgt DeWitt joined the Air Force in 2011, and was assigned to the Band of the West, Lackland AFB, where she served as a Trombonist. In 2015, she was first assigned to the Band of Flight, Wright-Patterson AFB, where she served as a Trombonist and Operations Representative and was awarded a secondary AFSC as a vocalist.  In 2017, she deployed as part of the AFCENT Band in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, during which she performed in Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, and Afghanistan.

During her assignment to Yokota Air Base, Tokyo, Japan, TSgt DeWitt performed as a vocalist with the USAF Band of the Pacific and traveled across Japan as well as internationally to Korea, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Okinawa, and Indonesia in support of the INDOPACOM mission.  In 2022, she became the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the AFCENT Band and led her team in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield.  During this deployment, her team performed at the FIFA World Cup, a live Fox Sports Veterans’ Day broadcast, and the Bahrain International Air Show, as well as supported troops deployed to Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

Originally hailing from Corpus Christi, TX, TSgt DeWitt graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Trombone Performance from Baylor University and pursued a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Southern Methodist University.  In addition to her academic pursuits, TSgt DeWitt studied with renowned artists Brent Phillips, Alex Parker, John Kitzman, Per Brevig, and Joseph Alessi.
