Chief Master Sergeant Michael P. Marshall, Chief Enlisted Manager of the United States Air Force Band of Flight, arrived at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH in July, 2014. A native of Aberdeen Maryland, he earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Towson State University and his Master's degree in Music Performance from East Carolina University in May 1985.
As a saxophonist with the United States Air Force since 1988, Chief Marshall was frequently featured as a soloist and has shared the stage with talents such as Chuck Mangione, Chris Vadala, New York Voices, Pacquito D'Rivera, Louis Bellson, Randy Brecker, and many others.
During his career, Chief Marshall has relished all opportunities to provide "soft power" to the US through the medium of music. He is honored to now have the opportunity to lead 14 Airman in carrying out SAF/PA and WPAFB directives to provide musical support for events that enhance the morale, motivation, and esprit de corps of our Airmen; foster public trust and support; aid recruiting initiatives and promote our national interests at home and abroad.
