SSgt Josiah Joyce is a guitarist and Operations Representative at the Band of Mid America, Scott AFB. He organizes tours and performances for the pop/rock group Starlifter. He also performs on the guitar in a wide variety of genres and settings.
SSgt Joyce grew up in an Air Force family and moved between a wide variety of locations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in jazz performance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2013. He entered basic military training on Dec 1st, 2015. He has been stationed at Scott AFB since leaving basic training.
SSgt Joyce has served as a band member on 2 deployments to the Middle East and Central Asia and has performed in 14 different nations.
